About the Company

David Ramsay, Cabinetmakers is located in the heart of historic Moorestown, New Jersey. Since 1980, we have been serving clients in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and beyond, establishing a reputation of distinction in our field. All of our work is done on the premises in a 9.000 square foot facility with shop, offices and showroom. Our skilled team of designers, cabinetmakers, finishers and installers allows us to handle projects of all sizes from free standing one-of-a-kind furniture with traditional joinery to architectural millwork installations.

Homeowners will find that they can deal directly with us; letting us help them choose and develop ideas and designs that suit them, their needs and their home. Since we design and build each project from scratch, we can incorporate any requests, including matching existing architectural woodwork and layout or any outcome the client visualizes in new construction.

Builders, Architects and Designers will find that they can rely on us to start with their ideas and offer solutions to their specific needs as necessary, often providing new resources and technical support that will enhance their designs.

The works that you see on the following pages are all custom crafted pieces designed specifically for the client. Each project is branded with the company logo and name. We do not mass produce pieces, although if you see something that you like, we can adopt the design to meet your needs.

History and Background

David Ramsay III opened the shop in 1980, with no employees, at the age of 25 after graduating from Rutgers University, Camden with a degree in Art History. His early background in cabinetmaking came from his high school experience at the Church Farm School (CFS) in Glenloch, PA. The experience and reputation of the shop has grown through the past 27 years with each project completed, contributions by employees and interaction with clients and design professionals.

The shop is in its original location, although occupying a much larger space than the original 1,500 square feet. One employee has been with the company since 1982 and almost 75% of the employees have been with the company for more than 10 years.
